UTAH!!! UTAH!!! Insanely beautiful. Insanely hilly/mountainous. Insanely HOT. I couldn’t get my goal of 65 today. We stopped short. The temp was running at 99 degrees for what seemed forever. I was riding on new BLACK chip and seal which added heat. It’s ok. Gods got me. Tomorrow I will rise early and only do 35 miles and go see Natural Bridge National Monument. I’m super excited.
Now. For a couple…From My Saddle Thoughts.
- Animals that die in this heat look like mummies. Nothing is scavenging them ?
- Why must animals come to the road and often the white line to poop?(see picture) They have fields and fields of grass???
- Plastic tote lids do not stay on totes in the back of your truck. Don’t do this. Every single day I see at least 3.
- If I had a quarter for every bungee strap I have seen along the road I could retire. No kidding.
