Day 56 07/18/21

Baker, NV to Ely, NV – 65mi, 11mph, 4485 ft elevation gain

Awesome Nevada day. Big climbing miles. Pleased with my average. Gotta be honest. I caught a tail wind going up the last 6 miles. That certainly helped. We are in Ely. I rode about 10 miles west of this town. I’m in these spans where it is 60-80 miles between towns on The Lonliest Road in America.

Sunday’s are “card” days. We look forward to card days. We also do laundry at KOAs and tonight is a KOA so we are going to give you a glimpse of life on the road for 2 months. And what nightly recover looks like every single day for me.

So far..Utah wins the prize for friendliest people. I was only flipped off once the entire state and if you remember the very next car pulled up next to me and apologized. But as my good friend Todd Robertson says that maybe folks have just been giving me 1/2 of the peace sign?🤔🤔. Who knows. I may have gotten it all wrong.

Utah also wins the prize for fewest snakes, cleanest roads and best RV parks.
