Day 33 – 06/25/21

Tribune, KS to Eads, CO – 63 miles, 9.7mph, 1169ft elevation gain

Awesome head wind kind of a Colorado day. So excited to be in this state. Got pulled over by Colorado’s finest. Go to bottom to see the outcome. Jocelynn was freaking out.

Met Nathan from Evansville IN. He quickly told me I was heading the wrong way today. No kidding. He then shared how fast he was going with a tail wind and decline. 😳 NOT me!!!

We also met Kaitlyn from Boston. She gave good advice to go to the market in Eads. They have produce. Yes!!! Such a treat.

Sooo… BIG news!!! I have decided to go to San Francisco. This buys me 5 extra days to make sure I can finish this. It is 350 miles shorter BUT almost 4,000 more of elevation climb. I can do that. I am excited to see a part of the country I have never experienced. I’m just praying the heat will break.

I shut it down early….. because the trooper pulled us over to warm us of dangerous incoming weather. He was the kindest man. I was thankful. And very thankful to be in a hotel tonight too.
