Total Miles: 3668.46

Phew. Lots of emotions right now. I’m beyond exhausted. I was on and off saddle for 11 hours to get those miles. Huge HUGE thank you to a John for going way above and beyond to get me through Sacramento and through Davis. I was on a bike path for almost 50 miles. Sacremento even has bike path round abouts. OR traffic circles as they are called out here. For those of you who β€œlove” round a bouts. πŸ˜‚.

Riding with John gave me tons of history but mostly a sense of safety. We rode past homeless camp after homeless camp. I would have been scared alone. We also rode past 11 fire areas. Likely started by the homeless cooking John said. We saw where the city of Sacremento hires farmers to bring goats and sheep into the city to graze down the dead grass for fire control. Unreal.

I represented my Ortho Indy doctors by wearing their logo across β€œ big booty Judy” today. A fun operating joke with nursing staff. See photos.

Tomorrow I will unofficially be finished. We might go FB live. Maybe. I will wait until Bill Walters and my momma are here to ride to the coast. Tomorrow we will ride to the bay.

After my ride tomorrow we will go back to Lake Tahoe to pick up our new friends Shlomo and Wes and SAG them through the fires. Watch Wes’ you tube video. He has awesome videos of his rides across the US too but in this one he discussed the fire.

On Tues and Wed Jocelynn and I plan to go search down the redwoods and drive HWY 1 along the coast.
