A GREAT California day. I was ready to turn around and ride home after yesterday. All the way East. No kidding. I know these last 2 days will be incredibly tough for Jocelynn and I. I will be on and off bike paths. We will somehow have to meet up.

Tomorrow I get to start with a ride with a friend from Sacramento. John started following my journey in 2016. I’m super excited to ride with him and have him help me navigate this city.

I have left the forest. It is soooo weird being below 1000 in elevation. So weird. I am also past the fires but this morning was insane. We ended up a little further below where I planned to be dropped. The smoke was intense. We passed 16 fire units heading to the fire. The nice thing about riding a closed toad is NO traffic.
