Day 53 – 07/15/21

Between Enoch, UT and Minersville, UT – 22 miles, 9.9mph, 1211 ft elevation gain

Short day. 21.63 miles. We visited Zion National Park. I am going to be completely honest. Extremely disappointed after everything we have seen and been through in this state. Park staff were extremely rude to guests and the park was packed. I mean Disney like packed. We had to park off site and walk in. Every outside shuttle was always โ€œfullโ€. This area is very โ€œtouristyโ€. All others in Utah were remote and quiet like. If that makes sense. Nature didnโ€™t seem like โ€œnatureโ€ here. Noisy with tons of busses and tons of people.

Donโ€™t get me wrong the landscape was beautiful BUT this would NOT be on my recommendation list for a week vacation after everything I have seen thus far. I am glad I went to see it. Just bummed. There is wayyy more in Utah.

I will inch my way closer to Nevada tomorrow. Lots and lots of climbing still. Should be fun. Praying I keep these temps!!!
