Day 53 – 07/15/21

Between Enoch, UT and Minersville, UT – 22 miles, 9.9mph, 1211 ft elevation gain

Short day. 21.63 miles. We visited Zion National Park. I am going to be completely honest. Extremely disappointed after everything we have seen and been through in this state. Park staff were extremely rude to guests and the park was packed. I mean Disney like packed. We had to park off site and walk in. Every outside shuttle was always “full”. This area is very “touristy”. All others in Utah were remote and quiet like. If that makes sense. Nature didn’t seem like “nature” here. Noisy with tons of busses and tons of people.

Don’t get me wrong the landscape was beautiful BUT this would NOT be on my recommendation list for a week vacation after everything I have seen thus far. I am glad I went to see it. Just bummed. There is wayyy more in Utah.

I will inch my way closer to Nevada tomorrow. Lots and lots of climbing still. Should be fun. Praying I keep these temps!!!
