Day 50 – 07/12/21

Escalate, UT to Panguitch, UT – 71mi, 9.5mph, 5435ft elevation gain

Well. Prayers answered. Look at how my day began. These rocks were placed outside of my camper door. Remember my fears? Well. I conquered them. God knew I needed this message this morning. Insanely great day. I’ve been quite emotional. Ever since my momma visited Bryce Canyon I have wanted to see this. Not only am I seeing it… I am biking through it. I got 71 miles in today. The heat is much better due to the smoke layer coming from CA. It hit 95 but on the Bryce side only high 80s. I had 2 really big climbs and I have set myself up for a FULL day off tomorrow and time to explore Bryce Canyon.

When I start again I will climb to 10,200 as I get ready to exit Utah.

At dinner we met 2 men from Indiana. One currently living in our great state and one who used to live in our state. The “ Colts” shirt gave it away.

I got to adopt 2 critters for my grands today. Kinda excited about this. AND I got my picture with my man Smokey. Huge Fan!!!

    Many blessings to you!
I am so glad you loved the rocks. We saw you riding through the hills of Boulder/Escalante. My girls were so excited to see you camping in our campground. We read your entire website. We wanted to let you know that you inspire people all day long. God Bless you and all of those who supported you.

    Love,

Hello Foster family! What a blessing from God you are to Donita! I’m a friend of hers who is back in IN taking care of the website for her as she rides. She asked me to relay this message to you… “Thank them so much for me. Tell them those rocks were a message from God for me. I was struggling with that morning ride. Tell those girls I will treasure those rocks forever and no matter what in life to never ever give up and always keep your eyes in Christ.” I had talked to her earlier in the day and she was just in awe that someone would leave her those treasures for her to find in the morning. You truly are a blessing and tell you kids it came at such a good time for her. You have no idea how she was struggling about her morning ride. This was God’s way of telling her… “trust in me and you can do all things!” Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving your time to being an encouragement to her when she really needed it! God is Good!
