Day 40 – 07/02/21

Maysville, CO to Gunnison, CO – 60 miles, 10mph, 3363 elevation gain

We are back on the saddle and what an incredible day we had. I am still beyond humbled that God is here riding with me and giving me everything I need.

I climbed Monarch Mountain this morning. Elevation 11,312. The highest elevation I will climb. Honestly. Her 10 miles up was a wee bit easier than the 20.3 I did coming out of Pueblo. Don’t get me wrong. 4-8% grades for 10 miles at this elevation are no joke. I did Monarch from the west and came down the same side due to it having 2 lanes. Safety first…right Kristy? Thanks for this suggestion.

We are staying in Gunnison at the KOA. Tomorrow we will head just outside of Montrose. I have never been west of Gunnison so I am super excited to see this countryside.

It has been a treat to have Jocelynns momma and her friend Join us for a few days. They got some rolling footage today. Pretty excited to share that.
